Probably one of the factors that makes them look unpatronised much of the time.
Though too many other distractions for folk these days is clearly another major factor, compared to the days when the pub, or the home fireside, were the primary choices.

Another case of the modern disease of 'more choice for consumers' actually resulting in less choice in the end...garden hermithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02729468804899958277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2542521298906723397.post-58863270959801449682018-11-01T16:34:29.753+00:002018-11-01T16:34:29.753+00:00Even in Worcester, a number of the pubs on the fri...Even in Worcester, a number of the pubs on the fringes of the city centre weren't open on a weekday lunchtime. The main beneficiaries are clearly folk wanting a later lunch and groups of pub visitors who can stagger a, er, Stagger over an extended period. I do wonder what, say, Worcester or St Albans will look like in another decade though; it can't be economic to open up for so few drinkers.retiredmartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15429804437739227082noreply@blogger.com
